National Museum of the Democratic Republic of the Congo
Information
The National Museum of the Democratic Republic of the Congo project is the first cultural project among the many aid programs supported by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and stands as a unique and exemplary initiative in the global context.
From the design stage, BAUM CM managed the project by carefully considering the national symbols of the D.R. Congo, traditional elements, local climatic conditions, visitor convenience, cultural heritage preservation requirements, and future scalability. During the construction phase, despite the challenging local conditions, BAUM CM ensured that the architectural intent was faithfully implemented on site. Furthermore, to optimize the museum’s core exhibition functions, the firm managed the exhibition design, fabrication, and installation processes, thereby playing a key role throughout all stages of the museum’s realization.
