LEGOLAND Sichuan China
Information
LEGOLAND Sichuan spans an area of approximately 57 hectares and is located in the Tianfu New Area of Meishan City, about 60 kilometers south of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province.
With an investment of around RMB 5.5 billion (USD 860 million), the resort is independently operated by Merlin Entertainments, a UK-based global entertainment company. Construction began on June 8, 2020, and the site area is comparable in scale to LEGOLAND Malaysia.
According to Jordy Yang, Regional General Manager for Southwest China, the resort will include a LEGOLAND Theme Park, a LEGOLAND Water Park, and two LEGO-themed hotels with a combined total of 500 guest rooms.
Thanks to its strategic location and the rapid development of the surrounding region, the resort is expected to attract visitors originating across Sichuan Province, Chongqing City, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, and other parts of western China.
